Having segued gracefully into my mid thirties since then I'm not sure my back would stand up to the antics of those gigs but I'd still like to be able to nod my head with a bit of vigour!

at least the Waterboys is standing so I can run some voltarol on my lower back and give it large Big Grin

It’s funny, there are certain venues that I visit regularly - The O2, the Pyramid field at Glastonbury, Brixton Academy, The Roundhouse in Camden… where I always stand in roughly the same spot. I like to stand about halfway back, away from the too vigorous down the front but close enough to see and enjoy.

Didn't get to Moseley Folk in the end so this was the consolation prize. Not enormously looking forward to the night bus back from Glasgow to Edinburgh...

Also, bit random but I don't suppose anyone on here is going to see Tool at the Birmingham gig? I'm keen but no mates are and I'd rather not go on my own. Also not sure how I feel about an all-seater Tool gig...

Would love to see Fisherman's Blues played live. Should be a good'un.

Steve Gibbons is on in Sutton, Thursday. New-ish venue so may check it out. You never know if it might be the last time we get to see him, even he can't go on forever!

I've been informed that Dropkick Murphy's are playing O2 Academy Brum in February next year. Seriously considering it!

Ye gods. Is he still going? He must be about 900 years old. Got a couple of his old vinyl albums somewhere.

Had tickets for Wolf Alice in a couple of weeks but sadly it’s become the latest gig of mine to be canned due to COVID, 2022 starting as 2021 ended.

As things stand it’s Royal Blood at the O2 on 30th March swiftly followed by Franz Ferdinand at Ally Pally 1st April.

Going to see Cast in Birmingham and Leicester in a couple of weeks time. I’ve got a few gigs lined up in London and Manchester for next month but having to make sure that any travel or accommodation is refundable. Arrangements do seem to be very uncertain at the moment.
