Cud next Friday.

Sad to learn Doves have cancelled due to a mental health issue.

The Stranglers in Newcastle in February. Although now Dave Greenfield has succumbed to Covid, and Jet Black no longer tours due to ill health, The Strangler would be more apt, there's only JJ of the original line up remaining. Baz Warne is always good fun though, especially being a Mackem through and through at a gig in the Toon.

Saw Level 42 in Manchester on Monday night.  Pretty good, got a bit self-indulgent in the middle bit. But for £36.50 for a front row seat, great value.

Supported by Johnny Hates Jazz who were OK,  but don't quite have the X factor.

They remind me of Snow Patrol where every song sounds the same.

I worked at an all night rave featuring Andy C, last weekend.

Jean-Paul Sartre once said that "hell is other people". He was wrong. Hell is 7 hours of drum 'n' bass.

The Waterboys at the Barrowlands on Saturday! First proper live music in over 2 years, can't wait! Great pub opposite the venue as well.

Didn't get to Moseley Folk in the end so this was the consolation prize. Not enormously looking forward to the night bus back from Glasgow to Edinburgh...

Also, bit random but I don't suppose anyone on here is going to see Tool at the Birmingham gig? I'm keen but no mates are and I'd rather not go on my own. Also not sure how I feel about an all-seater Tool gig...

Yeah was going to go to Tool, but all seater gigs not interested me.

Seems utterly ludicrous for a band you’d surely want to get moshing to.

I saw a perfect circle at the old Academy years ago and Tool at Download, also years ago both of which were insanely good. Having segued gracefully into my mid thirties since then I'm not sure my back would stand up to the antics of those gigs but I'd still like to be able to nod my head with a bit of vigour!

at least the Waterboys is standing so I can run some voltarol on my lower back and give it large Big Grin
