Fixing Nestor won't keep us out of a relegation fight. Mason needs to get it right or get fired, and that needs to happen in the next couple of games. We've seen "some improvement" but only one point so far this week. That's not enough.

Masons 2nd-half in-game management is poor. He stood motionless on the side line as they mobbed us. He needed to move the Albion up, but he's too quiet and undemonstrative. We have lost some quality in the team that made us a cut above, so it ain't as if his job has been made easier. I thought Mowatt was terrific last night but the poor bloke was knackered and needed more help than Diakite provided. It's not Mason's fault if Molumby behaves like a fuckwit or our centre mid is sadly lacking the drive to play in the centre when he doesn't play. I think Mason's rooky naievety was on show and he needs some help.

We keep on going on about a transition, about the financial situation but then as soon as we drop below a top 6 contender as a result of the overhaul we go on about sacking the manager.
I’m not convinced with Mason, but he deserves the transfer window and a season to see if we can start rebuilding with some hope and optimism.
Last couple of games we’ve been undone by stupid decisions on the pitch.
Molumby keeps his head on Saturday and we’d probably have got a point at Cov. Last night if Price makes 2 sensible decisions on playing the ball when we’re on the break we win that game.
The board will, thankfully, have cooler heads than the fans.
Mason isn’t going anywhere soon unless the wheels truly come off like they have at Norwich.
We’re in a rebuild and this doesn’t mean top 6 certainty.

In answer to Duffers OP, there is a general malaise around the club at present. We're struggling to attract the floating supporters as the football isn't overly exciting and more importantly results and league position aren't where they should be.

There was an inevitability about last night, and again you leave a game deflated when we deserve more. I can't remember the last time I came away from a home game feeling bouyed by the performance over 90 minutes, and the result.

I'm not enjoying the season one bit, and my expectations are it's going to continue to be a tough watch. I don't see it improving under Mason, and while I don't advocate sacking Managers, I don't see anything from him to suggest he's the man to take us forwards.

It’s all starting to feel very late 90’s isn’t it?

We always go on about coaches "deserving a transfer window". But the coach doesn't choose the players we sign, he just indicates the type of player he needs.

We also always go on about how the January window is an unsatisfactory market place, not the ideal time to make big changes. Mason isn't getting the best out of  the resources available to him, so I have little confidence that he'd do better with new faces.

Yes, and for clarity, I think the question about Mason has passed (he has to go) but I wouldn't be letting that fuggin idiot Nestor near the chequebook again.

As we stand today, and looking at how our results are trending, all things point to a relegation battle. Which given the squad we have is simply not good enough.

I'm fed up of saying the same things. He simply doesn't inspire the players or the fans. His in game management is very poor. He was sold to us as having worked directly with some of the world's top European managers, Conte, Mourhino, Poch etc yet shows no sign of having a fucking clue what to do when the opposition manager makes a change in formation. He is being out thought game by game and all he does is make like for like changes or bizarre half time changes hooking best players.

I'm sorry but he doesn't seem to be learning. I absolutely hate changing managers but I don't think he's going to cut it. Forget promotion we need to make a change now to make sure we don't get dragged into a relegation battle with a manager ill equipped to deal with all that that brings.

The subs an in game management question the whole coaching team, does anyone discuss these crazy changes with him?
