Even if he had died now, 68 is still no bloody age.
RIP.

Never cried at the passing of a celebrity, or someone I didn't know and love until Cyrille died.
Absolute hero doesn't do it justice, just a phenomenon, loved him so much.

Likewise for me, although it was 3 days before my Dad passed so it was an already emotional time so maybe losing two people I looked up to so much in that week provoked an eye irritation.

He was a legend on the pitch and a true gentleman off it.
Amazing player, so lucky to have grown up with him being my Albion hero. They say don''t meet your hereoes, he was the exception to the rule, such a genuinely nice guy. How he dealt with abuse in those days inspirational to so many that followed him. He could and maybe should have had many more England caps, I think he was over coached and playing with his back to goal took away his raw pace and power. As said above he got applauded (from all round the ground, not a minority) on to the pitch wholst wearing an orange shirt for the scrubbers up the road. That alone makes him in a special group of one. Every year on the anniversary of his death me and my sibling message each other and reminisce on watching him and the Albion as kids.
