Good morning?

Only thing that matters from here is points. By hook or by crook, we need to start winning matches. Process and personality might have to take a back seat as we can't afford the time.

Boro fans full of praise for their goalkeeper on the View From thread.

I think Ramsay will be a decent manager, but I'm starting to worry that we left it too late. The table looks bleak and will look bleaker unless we pick up some wins.

I was very disappointed with the atmosphere last night, considering the decent turnout, until we scored, it was the quietest it's been for a while. We need to do our part to push the team forward.

The first goal was calamitous bad luck. The 2nd calamitous poor play and the winner calamitous Charlie Taylor playing his 210th minute in 5 days.

They scored with their only 2 really good shooting chances (both great finishes) and everything else Griffiths had to do was pretty basic stuff.

For us, we created 2 great chances in the first half. Heggebø miss particularly poor. We also created numerous non-Mason moments in the 2nd half.

Don't get me wrong there is plenty to work on, but that was our most structured performance of the season.

In fairness to Heggebø - who has been pretty clinical in recent weeks - Sol Brynn gets off his line brilliantly the second he senses danger. AH may well have done better but it was brilliant goalkeeping.

The chance reminds me of the one he had against Portsmouth (and maybe one other?) - I find myself wanting him to pull the trigger sooner.

I'm a big fan of Heggers and his headers / cross conversion are impressive but I really want to see the guy start scoring some other chances i.e. outside the box like Grant or the 1 on 1's.

Sure it'll come.

Yeah you can see watching it back that the best chance he has is hitting it early, he takes the extra touch and it's too late

I thought Heggebø's touch was well off his usual standards last night. Seemed to ping off him more than usual. He seems to be a streaky striker. Started the season off with poor numbers, then hit a purple patch, and is now looking troubled Infront of goal again.

I'd maybe start Maja or Dike on Tuesday and give Heggy a rest.

Maja looked a bit more enthusiastic when he came on so perhaps you're right.

Heggy has had a lot of games and lost causes to chase so maybe a break would sharpen him up again.

Quite an eventful first season for the guy. I think I'd be asking the travel agent for my money back.

I'm really surprised you're pinning that 3rd goal on Taylor, Jacko. Phillips was facing the play, goal side of the man and best placed to go with his run and try to put in a challenge. As so often he stood and watched him go. Taylor was half turned and also had another player to mark.

Phillips and Mepham have got worse week on week. Are they really dog shit defenders? You'd think not. So why have they forgotten the basics? Don't tell me they need a coach to tell them how to do the simplest things. Maybe they don't really give a shit. They just don't seem up for a scrap IMO.

Too easy to get in behind him down the channel on both the inside and the outside, we saw it at Swansea and saw it last evening, his lack of pace particularly late in games will continue to cost us hugely, him being a left footer isn't enough of a boom to risk continuing to pick him.
