As much of a clusterfuck as this whole thing has been that part of the world (incl. Lebanon) could not be better placed geographically in terms of tourism, especially. Of course it's profiteering and SIM CITY for the extremely wealthy but if this can raise living standards for the people of that area and give them hope for the future then I'm not sure why at least the concept has been so derided.
