I was thinking i'd seen a team walk-off before but couldn't remember.

Then it came to me, Trevor Francis led Blues off the field at Preston in a play-off semi-final, prior to a penalty shootout. I think it was something to do with what end they were taking the penalties from. KRO might remember why.

He was angry that the penalties were at the home end rather than the end that was empty as it was being redeveloped

I recall listening to Tom Ross as it unfolded on the way out of Bolton iirc

I remember Kuwait walking off the pitch against France in the 82 World Cup. They heard a whistle from someone in the crowd and stopped playing and France carried on and scored. Think the goal was eventually disallowed.
