This is the level of ignorance in the UK

Unless you become a citizen or die or leave. Your argument is that unless someone is born in that country then they are an immigrant. I’m sure there is a name for people that think like that.

Yes, nativist crap. The only people who talk about immigration in the context of the total number of immigrants are nativists and that's exactly where we get to people calling for remigration/repatriation.

Cambridge dictionary gives this definition:

"a person who has come to a different country in order to live there permanently"

Not very contentious, is it?

The only political parties who use the total number of people who have immigrated to the UK are nativist ones, not even Reform with their "Net Zero Migration" talk about it in the way you are Proth. Give your head a fucking wobble. In the context of the fucking article you are replying to in the first instance you are the one who has decided to change it and align yourself with nativists.

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/diction...mmigration

the act of someone coming to live in a different country:
immigration into There are strict limits on immigration into the country.
immigration policy

the process of coming to a country in order to live in it permanently:

Do you want to look up the definitions of the words "act" and "process"? Because it looks to me like you're taking exception to the definition of words.
