Alan Ahlberg RIP

I read 'Each Peach Pear Plum' pretty every night to both my daughters from when they were babies onwards over a five or six year period. I can still recite it.

It's one of the few younger children's books that has stayed on the book shelf, even though they are both now in their teens.

All eased into the world of slumber with Each Peach and Peepo.

Each peach and peepo were regulars for our kids. The drawings were fab.

There is another Albion kids author who used to be a Director on the board. Lives in Fernhill Heath. Jim Driscoll - the shoe people

I remember picking up one of his illustrated children's books in a classroom. One image of inside a football stadium was unusual enough...then I saw the crowd chants.."Come on Albion"!  The players in striped shirts!
