Surprised not too many Beatles or Abba songs in the higher numbers - because they always seem to accumulate votes.

Pleased to see Jeff Lynne at number 2. Not because it is his greatest song - far from it, but he does deserve some recognition for the contribution he made to music from this era.

Lots of bangers on there in my opinion. Lots still as good today as they were then. Timeless classics. Of course theirs some shoite on there, it was the era of big collars, flares and platform soles

TBF Greatest Hits don't play a lot of Indie stuff so it's not really their demographic, hence the absence of The Smiths, Joy Division etc.

Still some beauties on the list though.
