I'm trying to start a claim for a mis-sold mortgage from a few years ago.
The company we are using to do this cant get our information from Citibank who hold the details (our mortgage company no longer exists).
We have sent all the forms off and they keep coming back with excuses as to why they cant release our information. This has been going on for months; originally it was a Director of a company cant verify our identity, now its a Consultant Surgeon at RHH does not meet their criteria. Citibank state in their email to me;
"Unfortunately we are unable to accept the proof documentation your third party have supplied as it has not been certified according to the guidelines we provided. We do not accept a Director or a Consultant Surgeon as valid certifiers"
A certified copy is a copy of the original document certified by a banker, solicitor, lawyer, notary public or the Post Office. Certified copies should contain a statement verifying it is a true likeness of the original copy, show the name of the signatory, their company and position held along with their valid contact details"
How much is this going to cost me to get the information released? Anybody had similar dealings?
