Last week I finally tried Better Call Saul. I know it's an oldie but it's still bloody good. Got through series 1 last week and looking forward to the rest.(06-01-2025, 07:45 PM)Majas magic Wrote: Just watched the last Mobland. No spoilers but don’t think I have switched between liking & disliking a series so many times during a series. Some of the best, that. I have just been informed that Mrs OF has booked us a table at the pub in July RE: Wot I am watching now - MrBater - 06-04-2025 (06-04-2025, 09:01 AM)Old Fart Wrote:(06-04-2025, 08:58 AM)MrBater Wrote: Watching Clarkson's Farm... Pubs cost a fuggin' load of money, eye opening! Some people are complaining that prices have jumped, £24 for a steak pie and veg. Clarkson replied it's the price of beef, I looked it up and he's right it's probably 35% up on last year. Others said it was a really good meal and well worth it, I await your review ![]() Tbh I expected his prices to be higher given the pubs location and 'fame'. Pubs cost a fuggin' load of money, eye opening! I used to get a top of the range fillet steak in Lidl for about £5.75. They are nearly £8 now. Pubs are generally charging about £30 for a steak these days so I cook my own at home. The Baytree in Kinver charge £28.50 for a fillet steak. I had a meal there last week and I have to say that the food was excellent. I had the lamb. |
