Any news on this or are we just going to let all those out of contract in

Looking at what we have got.
Kelly, Reach, Pieters and Chalobah will probably be released.
Bartley and Phillips may get offers but on reduced terms.
Fellows, Mowatt and Kipre are likely to be able to get new clubs in the
Championship. Kipre is 27 so unlikely to get much better and is probably
too old for a Premier club to take a chance on. It would be nice to sign
these three up before somebody else does.
TGH I assume will go to Bristol City permanently and most of the youngsters
Ingram, Ashworth, Malcolm and Cleary will be released. I wonder if we might
recall Faal. Taylor might go as well as we do not seem to want to give him a chance.

I imagine it all is waiting on the takeover to go through before anyone is offered a new deal.
I can’t see Bartley or Phillips being given new contracts given their age and the need to lower the wage bill. In Phillips case we just can’t afford to keep a 33 year old who will have missed at least a third of three consecutive seasons.
As with TGH there is a permanent deal in place for Ashworth though no idea if he has featured much so far this season.
Unless we get promoted we’ll see quite a different squad next year but it needs to happen really. We need to have a wage bill which is more reflective of our position as a Championship club and also lower the age of the squad. I’m sure I heard earlier in the season that we have the second oldest squad in the division. Saying that, we have an excellent coach and one I trust to move us forward in a period of transition.

Kipré is the must retain, and Mowatt, whilst he’s had an impact this year is another on very good wages following his move here, and we’d have to think hard about whether there was better value for the money.
I’ve been like a broken drum for 3 years but every penny we spent, be it ontransfers or wages, has to be with a view to make a profit. Younger players who can be nurtured under CC should be our only transfer strategy. Handing big contracts to players in their prime just kicks the can further down the road.

I can't see the take over happening anytime soon so we will need to generate some cash.
We may have to generate £10m+ to keep us solvent. Any player who can bring in cash will be available to leave. Any chance of avoiding a mini fire sale has faded.
We can't just keep ignoring our losses which are growing every day.
I think most of us expected us to be mid table and the play offs were a dream, so we are well above target in the league.

As depressing as it is to read I totally agree re Carlos. He will have plenty of suitors here and abroad come the summer and let's not forget he will command a fee too being under contract.
The meeting with the new owners will be key for him. Will they know anything about him? Will they do a Blues and want a name manager? And if they do like him they will have to convince him they have a plan on how to make us competitive given outr constraints.
All I know is if Carlos does leave then I really do think it will guarantee our stay in the Championship for a much longer period.

Realist, why would CC stay for three or four seasons of midtable at best managed decline if we don’t find an owner who can convince him to stay with us? You of all people on here must appreciate that money and personal success is the only driving force of professional football.

Obviously a big money offer could tempt him away but isn't that the same for every one.
It's part of the game as is selling players. We the fans almost believe it's unacceptable to sell players when it's normal.
My only gripe is we still are not giving the youngsters any game time.

I doubt a Premier club would offer him a job as he has not won promotion
and his spell in Greece was not a success.
Agree with your comments about youngsters, this has been the same with
most recent managers, some on here would say it is because they are not good
enough but here is a squad of our youth players who play at Championship
level or above, that tend to endorse the view we do not give them a chance.
