Rage Against The Machine
Oceansize
The Mars Volta
Pantera
Mogwai
Alice in Chains
The Cat Empire

Quite difficult actually as in the spotify age I rarely actually put a whole album on. Just have a massive playlist on shuffle or use song radio. Need to put a bit more effort into listening to an album all the way through.
Free / Bad Company
The Eagles
Elton John
REM
Dire Straits
Coldplay
Queen
George Michael
The Beatles
Stevie Wonder

Surprised to see The Fall in your list.

Haha. Thought I'd put them hidden half way down. The band by which all others should be measured. In my eyes anyway.

Always makes me smile when I think of John Peel's statement that the only thing that bothered him about dying was that there would be new Fall albums that he would never get to hear!  Smile
The Beatles
The Doors
INXS
Pink Floyd
Prince
The Prodigy
Simple Minds
The Smiths
The The

And Kate Bush for a wench's voice. She just pipped "singalong" Madonna.

Said before that the problem with permanently WFH these days is that I don’t listen to anywhere near as many albums as I did when I was commuting. That hour to and from work would be when I’d stick a new album on and not focus on anything else. When I’m WFH it’s much easier just to have a radio in the background so I don’t have to pay too much attention.

Been trying to make a conscious effort to play more of my vinyl records to compensate.
Pink Floyd
Iron Maiden
Rancid
Woods of Ypres
Green Day
Finch
In Flames
Pulp
Ghost
Avantasia.

The last 7 can change fairly often while the top 3 are permanent.
In no particular order:

1) Pavement
2) Dinosaur Jr
3) Pixies
4) Ride
5) Suede
6) Pearl Jam
7) Radiohead
8) PJ Harvey
9) The National
10) Mark Lanegan

Another thing. No one has put Coldplay in their list. Some people hate them, some people are completely indifferent about them but they’re still very popular. I quite like them, but not enough to be top 10 but I’m very surprised that they don’t make anyone’s top 10

Interesting that Queen have only made the one poster's list. Not my cup of tea but I soon learned not to say anything disparaging about them on here. Wink

Eh? Queen are top of the two at the bottom of page 1! However they only seem to have made those two!

Sorry make that 3, I missed CIM's list.

In all three lists they are the first artist mentioned. If you love Queen, you really love them.

For me, they're almost like family. I grew up listening to them, my family all loves them (my sister had me doing You're My Best Friend as a reading at her wedding because she wanting Queen to be part of the day). One of my kids has a Queen-inspired name, and both of my children love them and will request their songs when we're watching YouTube. Daft as it sounds, but they are more than just a band to me. I don't even like talking about them to people unless I know they're fans of them, because if they say something stupid, they'll go down in my estimation.

Ha! That was my point. Queen are family to many. Of course at the time, us old punks thought of them and all those stadium rock bands as the enemy. Turned out they're mostly all still around while Joe Strummer and Sid are long gone. Funny old revolution that turned out to be.  (I wouldn't have changed it for the world, mind). I think Queen were the soundtrack to many a childhood/adolescence and will rightfully be held in esteem.  I just wouldn't  ever mention that to my old mates. Wink
