What a fookin cock-up by the Prem big-boys not to sign him.

Absolute bargain.

Destined for Barca for Real probably.

He signed for one of the biggest clubs in Germany. Not that much difference to the Prem big boys.

Whats the point? Dortmund have the biggest home crowd in Europe. They’re a huge club. It’s arrogant and a little ignorant to assume players should naturally flock to the PL. Dortmund can offer him whatever United can, that’s why he chose Dortmund over United.

In terms of development he’s at the perfect club, one who aren’t afraid to develop young players and can give him experience of playing in the later stages of the CL and challenging for titles. He’ll have two or three seasons with them before going off somewhere like Barcelona for ridiculous money.

Looking at the PL big boys only Liverpool or City would be a more attractive option than Dortmund right now. Liverpool actually signed his teammate - the Japanese kid as one for the future. Haaland wouldn’t get into their starting XI right now. City seem happy enough with Aguero and Jesus.

Man Utd could offer him far more money than Dortmund, but otherwise I agree entirely. The Bundesliga don’t pay particular high wages as they’re very restricted on wages:turnover ratios... I’m pretty sure in our relegation season we had a higher wage bill than Dortmund.

Dortmund are a brilliant club, and probably the best club in the world for him to be at at this stage in his career. It’s really refreshing to see a young player put his future development ahead of ludicrous money and accept that £60k/wk is plenty...

(Oh and then Japanese kid is 25... for some reason our media seem to think he’s 18...)

The simple point is that top strikers don't grow on trees and at that price they've fooked up imho. (Nothing to do with being arrogant or ignorant?? lol )   I don't personally give a fuck - just making an observation that it will come back to haunt them.

Aguero is nearing the end of his powers.  United, Chelsea and Spurs all need a striker and you could argue Arsenal too.  I just think they will regret not going for him.

I agree he has probably made a wise move going to Dortmond at this stage but that's an entirely different subject matter.

He has the same agent as Pogba, money for all concern would have been the highest on the list.

If money was his highest concern then there’s no way he would have signed for Dortmund. Think there might even be a quote from Raiola somewhere saying that United offered more.

They’re playing a long game - Dortmund now, massive money move in 2-3 years time.
