My missus used to buy her knickers from there  it was so she could work out which way to put them on.

Whatever happened to Benetton?
They were massive in the 80's / early 90s and then just seemed to vanish from the High Street.

They also still own much of corporation street. It's was a dutch family company (might not be anymore) with very strong german ties.

Was just talking about that only yesterday. Used to be a bit of a go-to after Xmas/birthday when you had a wedge to get rid of. Wasn’t there a shop in the Palisades many a moon ago?

Big blousy jumpers with massive advertisements for themselves emblazoned, and really crass advertising campaigns had their moment I suspect. I’m sure they are happily still a premium brand but perhaps they’ve tried to shy away from their gaudy 80 and 90s brand of Christmas past? A bit like Burberry I think the popularity was destroying their brand.
