Not really seen any major trouble there since we won 3-0 there under Gould.

There were a good 50 or so younger chavs trying to flank the escort but felt like it was more for the need to be seen than any real need for a ruck.

The whole ground, area and club feels like it could still be 1992. Thank god for the Peace are or suspect we would be similar.

I was sat with them yesterday, walking out there are still plenty of their yed the balls who wants to have a go and hang around as the away fans come out

Quite good natured in the ground and general assumption was we were/are just so clinical whilst they huffed and puffed

As said earlier up the thread are known nationally as a proper firm when it comes to hooliganism, have a high percentage of nutters

Proper went off that day. Chasing through Digneth. Thanks David Elleray

Used to have a load of NF hoolies - as well as the Zulus in the early 80s. Think their influx of black players around 82 was a watershed for them

Living around Moseley means most of the blokes in the local pubs are Bluenoses and they’re all decent, salt of the earth folks... they’ve definitely got more than their fair share of nutjobs (and most will accept that!), but for the most part they’re decent, down to Earth football fans who’ve had some good times and bad ones.

Most of them have no ill feeling towards us, and would be as happy as us if we replace Villa in the top division this summer!

In all my years of going to matches, it has only ever been Bluenoses that threatened me with a stanley knife. My mate and I were about 14 or 15 waiting for a 74 bus from Brum centre one match day, when a group (5 or 6) of adult 'noses approached us and then proceeded to toy with stanley knives whilst suggesting which of them would go first at cutting us. Thankfully the bus came and we jumped on.

Other than that they've been mostly fine, I just can't muster any hatred for them, or even passionate dislike. They've never really done anything and rarely troubled us, but as the OP said at least they're not deluded twats.

I recall that. It was chaos. Luckily could steer clear. Had a few full cans and bottles chucked at me down by McDonald's a few years later. Luckily, my nimbleness came into play.

That 3-0 Feb '92 game was carnage down by the bottom island.

I did wander for weeks after if the Police were going to come calling as it was all being filmed, I guess they could tell the difference between self defence and attack!

A few gobby ones on Saturday but only the ones that stand behind the police lines and all mouth, didn't see any other bother (which is how it should be)

That 3-0 win at Blues, saw them also try to invade the pitch from the Tilton/Kop corner. I think a couple of them made it on. They were surging into the corner to get on that day. Outside it was rough. 3 weeks later there was a riot v Stoke, when Harvey Barnes' dad, Paul, scored an injury time equaliser. They were tasty then . Also remember a few getting swatted in the Brummie, that same season (91-92) when Drinkell scored and we lost 0-1. One ended up in the back of the net.

I've seen a few putting bottles in their jackets another time in the late 80s, walking past , head down near the Watering Hole (now a McDonalds). In the March '88 game, I knew a lad at my school, in Tipton, who was mugged at knifepoint for his leather jacket by a group of Blues (Zulus) in town who tracked the Albion fans back to the city centre.

As I said, a truly awful club. I know a lot more nicer Villa fans, except when you get them talking about football. Never really had much to do with Wolves fans, being a Brum lad, but Blues are the scuzzy club for sure.
