Confidence and good feeling among fans cascades down to the team just as much as moaning negative shite does. We're the envy of the division. Act like it ffs

Pride comes after a fall, just like 1979.

I'm not sure I'd like gassy, tasteless football results served at minus 10 degrees thank you.

There's no Megson inspired team to come out of the pack - unless he takes over at Fulham.

Not much pal. Amazing that he has had just that spell with us - in 7 years since SW

Its bizarre how some managers just can’t get a look-in after having been successful.  Megson is one, David O’Leary another.  Nigel Adkins took Saints from League 1 to the Prem in successive seasons and they were midtable when they replaced him with Poch. Took quite a while for him to get another job.

In fairness Adkins was back in a job in the PL within a couple months of Southampton (harshly!) sacking him, but agree there’s definitely a few who vanish.

I guess for people like O’Leary, they’ve made millions and have the option of the easy life on the pundits’ sofas, after dinner circles and charity golf days... if you don’t live and breathe it, why would you put yourself through it!
