I don't mind this time of year for running, helpful as its coinciding with my most consistent running for the best part of two years. I'm 99% confident injury woes are behind me, looking to up the mileage towards something resembling volume by the end of the year before booking in some races for next spring and autumn, maybe even another marathon if I pull up alright.
Early Sunday mornings this time of year when you have back roads to yourself, it's great. Another +1 to running in the rain and drizzle too, great sense of satisfaction when you get it done and back in the warm. Getting out the door in the first place is 99% of the battle, running is the easy bit.
