All that will happen is the EFL/Prem will close the loophole going forwards. Nothing else will happen. No sanctions.

After All if the loophole was there it's the FA/EFL/Prem admistrators fault. All Villa and Derby have have done is exploit it.

If the ruling body tries to enforce sanctions then Villa/Derby/whoever can take them to court and there is no way the FA or whoever are going to want that.

Nothing will happen. It will be swept under the carpet.

Selling the stadium isn't really a loophole, the EFL changed their rules to allow it 2 or 3 years ago.

In Derbys case they had a stadium worth circa £25m which was valued in their accounts at £40m and sold for £80m.

Ah I see. Yeah that's just plain fraud.

If so then an FA investigation is the least of their worries. Who carried out this 'Independent valuation'?

If the sale is found to not be "fair market value" then the dependant valuation will be used to define FFP compliantly.

By that measure Derby could be sanctioned and docked points. If villa do have a disastrous season and get relegated, next season could be the start of some dark times for them.
