Nice interview with Slav.,

Main points from Bilic's press conference: 1. He's genuinely excited about the season ahead & signings he's made. 2. He still needs more players (a couple of forwards/wingers and maybe another defender and midfielder). 3. Hegazi will be out for another 7-9 weeks. #WBA

Bear in mind that Norwich got 1 point from their first 3 matches last season.

Exactly, one match (with many more players to come in yet) will give us no indication in the slightest. 8-10 games will give us an indication.

Of course it will, we all saw very quickly that the same slow players in midfield would not work but it was never addressed.  If it isn't working we will see very quickly if he has plans B through X.

It won't. The Bolton game yes happened to be a decent indicator in some ways. Look at most seasons and the first game told us fuck all. Walsall 4-1 loss.... Chelsea 6-0 loss are examples, the two wins out of two only a couple of years ago and we got relegated in the end....  and this time we'll be buying new players next week so plenty will be changing.

By reading so much into tomorrow, some are setting themselves up for the mother of all meltdowns on day 1 of the season. I guess i shouldn't be surprised!

Oh it’s coming. Anything other than a 3-0 win and there’ll be pitchforks and burning torches AOTS.

Nothing can be hung on one match, not least the opening game of a season. You'd think that some on here were in their first couple of years of football watching and Albion supporting. It will take 10 games for players to properly gel. Although we may see some signs, we know there are more players to come in, plus Hegazi will be back by October.

Having said this, we need a decent -sh start, points wise to keep us in the loop.
