Not sure that we’d actually be able to sign him in the end, but wouldn’t be surprised if we were trying to sign Powell even without having a manager. We need to sign so many players this Summer regardless, signing one or two before a new manager comes in (especially players that most managers at this level are likely to want) would be no bad thing. It’s no different to the incoming manager inheriting last season squad, they’re all in the same boat when pre season starts.

Also Dowling is v keen on being the one with final say over players, so it sets that out from the start with any incomers.

Cox hardly ever played that fox in the box role which would have brought goals. I thought he was OK too.
