Mrs BB currently just over 4 years clear after a mastectomy.....still taking Tamoxifen, with shitty side effects......these finish in January next year....she had four tumours, one of which had gone to the lymph nodes.

Tell your friends they can get through this.

Also, if there is a Maggie's Centre near them to go to it....they provide vital support to those suffering with (and the families of) cancer.

Sorry to hear that, and echo the other responses to be as positive as possible.

Both of my parents are currently fighting it. Father was given 18 months tops and that was 5 years ago in May

Best wishes to them. You have to be positive.
I got diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago, just before COVID.
We decided to go down the route of active surveillance which means no treatment just monitoring it every 3 months with PSA tests and an MRI every 18 months to see if it's stable.
I urge everyone over 50 to get checked out , a lot of men die with prostate cancer, not from it.
Catch it early!
