Trump ain’t going away quietly

Half of Americans still love the lying, corrupt, womanising cunt.
With the current world troubles it’s a terrifying prospect him getting back in power. It’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.

Politically, this is the only election that matters anywhere.

Bang on Proth. The ramifications are enormous, not least for Europe and our relationship with America and ability to defend ourselves.

You are right there. I hope I'm wrong but the big orange baby  could be very bad news for Ukraine and it's neighbours.

Even the Republicans will do whatever they can to stop Trump winning the candidacy. If he's on the ballot, he will win in November.

The documentary on Channel 4 last night was scary.

His followers are advocating civil war if he loses.

In Iowa, the primary turnout was 14% of registered Republicans of whom approx. half voted for Trump. 7% of the registered Republicans in Iowa is not particularly indicative of support as a whole. Polls are all over the place and we must also remind ourselves of the type of people like to respond to polls (ie owns a landline and is likely to answer calls from an unknown number).

Also, Tom Keen just flipped Florida's (super-MAGA Florida!) 35th district from Red to Blue, despite registered Republicans outvoting registered Democrats by the thousands (meaning many registered Republicans voted for Keen).

Polls and the media would have us believe Trump is doing well but every actual election held since 2020 has shown him to remain deeply unpopular with the actual electorate (rather than fringe loons in the GOP). Overturning Roe vs Wade and attacking women's right to healthcare was one of the most politically moronic moves in living memory.

Trump will dominate headlines until the election and probably after it but I'm quietly confident Biden will win comfortably - despite troll farms going into overdrive online attacking his stance on Gaza.

You do wonder why any woman who wasn't overwhelmingly God fearing would vote for Trump.

Or any black, brown or yellow person. In fact his policy of uniting the gun toting maniacs and conspiracy theorists is very alienating for the average Joe -who are surely (hopefully) the majority. It is a huge mystery how the USA can't come up with 2 more inspiring candidates than Trump and Biden.

You have to ask why is he so popular?

How did the usa get to point of wanting him in charge ?

Its the same with brexit (totally avoidable)

The concerns raised were ignored for years by those whom know best

Gordon Brown telling everyone that Labour voter she was a biggot for example
Same with anyone found with a UK flag outside their house

So along comes opportunity & there you have it
