Martin Kelly confirmed

Reading comments from the Palace fans on their forums, they're all complimentary. Sounds like he gives 100% every game, and many are suggesting he could still do a job in the Premiership.

I don't think a 2 year deal is necessarily too much based on his past fitness record.

A welcome addition following Semi's injury.

A 32 year old, injury prone, squad filler signing that hasn’t even had a pre season. Have we learned nothing from the signing of Kean Bryan. (Yes, he still plays for us).

Listen, we’ve always had a Chris Baird, Tyron Mears type filler signing in us. The problem is now, we’re using the Adam Reach type signings and giving them too much game time or the Kean Bryan’s a two year deal.

Agree with every word of this.

Don't necessarily have an issue with the signing if it had been an Andy Carroll type deal but 2 years ffs.

Bizarre deal. No need for a 2 year deal at all.

Fire up that hydropool..... Budge up Bryan....

Maybe, just possibly, he wouldn't agree to a shorter deal? We're not exactly in a position to dictate terms to potential recruits and still expect them to sign.

I'd immediately move onto the next RB target then, or maybe offer a 1 year + 1 in our favour.

Which RB target? And maybe we did offer such a deal and he turned it down?

32 year old, injury prone, 3 games in 2 years Martin Kelly frankly should not be dictating length of contract terms to anyone.

Who deals with contracts at our place? A football mind or one of the Chinese? Probably Gourmet, who probably got a back hander

It's called negotiation. Presumably you'd have preferred us not to sign another defender then?

I think most don't mind him signing, but the deal is not the sort we'd have gone for with Baldy here for sure
