Obviously didn’t know him, but I always enjoyed listening to him speak on radio and watch his stories on TV. 

Appears he’s definitely one of the ‘good guys’ in the industry and will be missed by lots of colleagues in addition to friends and family. 

Tough battle with Cancer since 2017/2018.  May he rest in peace away from it all now.

I'm sad to hear this news, he always came across as a very decent bloke and I enjoyed watching him on BBC Breakfast. RIP Bill
