Crooks and Thompson played in a pre season friendly together and linked up well. Then Giles decided to sell Tommo to Sheff Weds (after he'd sold Regis the previous season). Giles 2nd coming was as big a disaster as his 1st was a success.

We also had George "Rambo" Reily to call upon that season.

Sat on the BRE playing Sheff Wed for a midweek game in a crowd of about 6k.  Those were the days that the likes of Spurs had 13k at home to us and Arsenal had sub 20K crowds.  At least it was because we were shit.

Our last away game was a decent 2-2 at Highbury (Saturday at 3pm) - the crowd was 14,500!
