Collapsing and going backwards

Under Pulis we would regularly get to February in a decent position then collapse.

Under Moore we were doing well up until Christmas then collapsed.

Bilic managed to ride out one loss of form then collapsed spectacularly after the enforced break during lockdown.

Val started well then rapidly went backwards.

It’s almost as if there’s a culture of it at this club…

We've always drifted after Xmas usually, Six improved that and had it start in September instead.

Only one of them was at the highest level really and it's been generally downhill since

Livermore.

I knew it was his fault!

Pulis seemed to do it deliberately, as if keeping up the pressure after gaining 40 points was somehow unnecessary or even a bit rude.

If you're suggesting it's the players' fault, bear in mind that there are only two left from Pulis and three more who were signed by Moore.

A couple of common denominators come to mind.
Basic lessons - remove bad apples before they contaminate the others.
Let's hope the new manager sorts it quickly.

More generically, the players!

Contrary to popular belief, with the gargantuan efforts by the Pulis teams to get to 40 PT safety it was inevitable the gas pedal would be eased off by the players. Remember moaning about him concentrating on fitness pre season over ball skills? There's gold in them thar hills
