"I talk like I'm dumb but I'm not."

And isn't that just the trouble with young people today? Try talking like you aren't dumb, you feckin' dumbo!

Apropos of nothing in particular, my brother-in-law was at the same school as the real Sade. He is proud to remind everyone that he was put in detention for racially abusing her. Something I would keep quiet about, if it were me. Which it wasn't.

"Iconic", probably wouldn't be the first word that springs into my mind.   FFS

My 32" Toshiba CRT probably qualifies as an iconic TV; dates back to the days when SCART was new. Picture's still fine but, come the day, I dread having to carry it to the car* and then lift it out again at the tip.

* The car which had its 20th birthday a couple of weeks back: VW Golf 1.9Tdi Estate, affectionately known as 'The old girl'.

Doing my bit for the planet.
