Rising cocaine use

as a mid 40's with a teenage son in his last year at high school (who's already been pulled up for using) it scares the shit out of me.  I don't remember it being that prevalent when I was a teenager, the odd bit of weed was about, but that was all.  when I went off to Uni I had a go at just about everything I could get my hands on and none of it really did much for me, except Acid (micro dots/tabs), that was nice.

I think a lot of todays problems stem from targeting younger kids who aren't as mentally developed, peer group pressure etc and they can't handle it.  Also I believe the strength is so much more powerful today, Weed is often skunk and has a high LSD content (I believe it's LSD) of around 20%, back in the 60's If I remember properly it was around 1-2%.  they are definitely targeting a younger customer base and it now comes across as the thing to do for youngsters.

legalise or not, really hard question but if people want it they will find it so I say yes.  also by legalising will this help stop the dealers, reduce their target market or will this push them after the youngsters more?  really hard.

have a listen to the below if you have time, it'll blow your mind more than any drug, we made our son listen to it when he got "busted", brought a tear to his eye (and mine).  don't think he's been near the stuff since but we have our doubts.......................................

Agree
As a kid from the 80's drug use amongst working class kids was unheard of as cost of these drugs was so high
It was something you read about in the Sunday papers

Glue Sniffing in the 70's/80's was the drug of choice -LOL
Nowadays its so easily available the market is flooded with the stuff

Ive even seen pregnant young women smoking a spliff on way to shops
