I said that against Burnley (those two dropped points killed us), and then again against Everton (even one point wasn't going to be enough, although I thought we were mighty unlucky). As it's Newcastle, the team in 17th., then there is justification in saying this has to be the definitive, final, last chance saloon. Unless we draw.

Completely agree, but we also need the points to maintain motivation levels. If we fail in these games the season really is lost, and we'll have a succession of dead rubbers for both players and fans (whilst acknowledging the purely emotional motivation of beating the Dings and Vile).
