Now there's a thing. I'm definitely in the "lunch in the middle of the day, dinner in the evening" camp. Here up north, most people seem to have dinner and tea. I'll never call a proper sit-down dinner "tea" no matter what time of day or night I'm eating it.
I guess we'll eat sometime between 2.00pm and 3.00pm, so that's not lunch. Ours will be at 1.30pm which is lunchtime.
Hence Xmas lunch.

Of course it is.
We've reluctantly ruled our normal dinner out this year as the offspring have elderly in laws. Gutted as it's my favourite bit of chefery. I'll still be cooking but it seems a whole loada malarkey when there's no hungry hordes to feed. Much missed this annus horibilus though is my 8 hours in the pub on Christmas Eve when I pursue a goodwill to all policy.

What's the gig with turkey crowns? It's the boring dry meat. The darker meat on the turkey much tastier IMO.
Just the 4 of us as in Tier 4.

Usually have a goose, going for a duck instead as there's just three of us (four including a dog) this time. And a beef rib.
