D'you think they'll give me £42 for three biros with the pen bit removed? I tell yer these paper bullets that i can spit through them are deadly!

Used them regularly at Holly Hall School, 1977 - 81. Staedtler pens were weapon of choice, German Engineering Where You Need It Most in a blowpipe.

I use Staedtler to this day - excellent stuff.

But I found Bic were the plastic barrel of choice for classroom weaponry.

Helix compasses were also highly effective, as were bendy Helix rulers for launching paper flob-bombs.

I always swore by Staedler back in the day but haven't seen any in donkey's years. Thought they didn't exist anymore.

Or can you only get them via "specialist" shops?

Water balloons were my weapon of choice. We had a secret launch pad, where a barrage would commence, unseen by our unsuspecting victims (Yr11 Girls PE class usually).

In Solihull we had proper pea shooters. Gold plated with your name engraved was the norm Big Grin
