4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3

Which way does Slav set us up for the majority of the PL season?

As that then differs with us targeting an inverted winger or a genuine wide man.

8-1-0-1

Obviously the one up front would be expected to drop back.

Shirley you’d opt for 11 on the goal line to help Sam out?

I want to say no, but HRK, Austin and Zohore aren’t convincing me otherwise Big Grin

I think we’ll be more of a 4141 than the 4231...

Think we’ll see a far more defensive minded central midfield, and use Pereira in the wider positions. We’ll need new fullbacks for that system to work, but would explain the focus on those areas in recruitment.

We’ll have Grosicki, Phillips and Edwards as cover/options should we need to stretch the width of the pitch so expect we’ll see another inverted left sided player and another striker coming in...

If we played our current defensive 6 from last season with SJ we'll get battered most weeks.

I reckon we'll need to go 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 for most away games and at home against the top sides.
