Exactly the same with GCSEs putting huge pressure on schools and colleges to admit students who will be wholly unsuited to oversubsrcibed courses because of grade inflation.

Are you genuinely incapable of reading or do you simply read what is being put to you, ignore it completely then respond with irrelevant nonsense? The fact that you quoted that section but continue to ignore the fact that your point includes the provision of independent schools shows you are not being coherent in the slightest. The overall pass rate will include private school results you dolt, and as I have already said at 16+ they make a fair proportion of results.

The initial 2020 results showed that private school kids got upgraded grades irrespective of previous poor attainment of the individual with the reverse being true at state sixth forms, academies, selectives and comprehensives. That is why they are inherently unfair and the most unfair results ever. To use your argument against you, are private school kids in 2020 significantly more intelligent compared with state educated kids in 2020 relative to previous years and next year? Of course they fucking weren't.

If you want me to address your quite frankly irrelevant rambling that has nothing to do with my point on how 2020 had the worst results ever owing to the results being based on wealth instead of merit and previous results, this is the outcome of moving the education system away from modular examinations as it was pre-2010 and towards the annual and now biennial situation it is currently. If it were modular as it was pre-2010 then there would have been enough basis to provide results with confidence based on a high proportion of results being given. Even the old annual system would have at least provided 50% of results that could have been used. The failure of the algorithm and the need for a U-Turn is only a requirement due to the failures of the education system under the Conservatives and their obsession with turning education in rote learning with glorified memory tests with both Labour and the Lib Dems having vastly superior models not only based on evidence from high attaining countries but also their resilience to disruption.

Now, ignoring the requirement for the failed algorithm, the reason for the U-Turn was that students were being unfairly punished by the government for something the government fucked up with. Are you seriously trying to justify that kids who were downgraded to grades below any level of prior attainment solely as they don't go to a nice school or college should continue to get fucked over by virtue of someone else, statistically likely to be at an independent fee paying school, being overgraded? Course caps can be lifted and funding can be increased to manage for next year and subsequent years, getting a year of your life back can't. Your justification of "life's tough, I managed" only applies to you because you fucked up, the people who got fucked over by the algorithm were fucked over through no fault of their own.

Now I've said that, I'm not going to waste any time related to the previous two paragraphs as that had nothing to do with my point so either argue in good faith pertaining to my point or shut up.
