No I wouldn't do any of those - no more than I would expect you to kill the person to protect your home There are shades of grey and alternatives. You don;t seem to be able to handle other than extremes

How do you feel about the racist EU countries that have not been expelled, that have build more fences than Trump ever envisaged to protect their borders and have resulted in deaths - are you quite happy to be patriotic and fly your flag for them.

The EU is a club (not a country) and within that collection of countries, it protects its borders (it has built lots of fences and pays Turkey to stop asylum seekers), has FOM among the citizens of the club and needs a visa and certain other requirements for non-citizens to travel and work. 

The UK is a country, comprising of 4 countries and it wishes to protect it’s borders, has FOM among its citizens of the country and will need a visa and certain other requirements for non-citizens to travel and work

Apparently, one is deemed racist and the other is perfectly fine. All people have done is extend the borders of their so-called racism and xenophobia.

So what would these gun boats do? Shout stop it? Board the boats and arrest them? Or is this just pointless posturing to play to the core?

It's posturing but also a deterrent - they would have the right to stop, arrest and search them - but I would hope that other countries would obey our laws as we are expected to obey the EU laws. I would also hop that burglars would obey the laws and not break into your house, but just in  case -maybe a burglar alarm and CCTV unless that's too much posturing and deterrent for you 

A burglar alarm and CCTV usually alert someone to do something about the problem. So these glorified mobile Burglar Alarms (your analogy not mine) who will they sound the alarm to? Priti Patel on her own speedboat?

Blimey when was the last time you saw anybody respond to a burglar alarm. Unless it's the type that is linked to a security company. Most people just walk past. Lots of people put up dummy alarms as a deterrent. Maybe people and countries should just obey the laws, then no one would need calling, and just because you are a bigger boy that doesn't give more rights to break it unless you're suddenly siding with power and eliteness

So macho posturing then.
