We are all well aware that your intention was to compare the two. To say you were arguing about word definitions is a smoke screen. 

So, lets have a look at the definition you quote. "The dictionary definition of a bigot is: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and especially prejudices." YOU must put Hardball in the category of bigot then. Fancy, your biggest ally is akin to Adolf Hitler!  Oh, hang on, there was something about intelligence somewhere 

I think when you say things like above and the Covid comment on the main board over the weekend it’s getting personal and beyond debate. You will now of course say you can’t take it when someone dishes it out but I will be putting you on ignore because it’s really not worth the hassle.

As I have said before, you have called me all the names under the sun by association, not nice is it?
And what is inaccurate, you have admitted that you are obstinately intolerant of those who do not hold your opinions and have no interest in being civil to them. That has included me. Those that live by the sword and all that.
You keep putting folks on ignore so your intransigent views can’t be challenged.

I don’t put people on ignore much and I usually reply anyway My reason was / is at first it was debate but it has increasingly become personal. I have strong views about austerity and Brexit the former because it had a disproportionate negative effect on the most vulnerable / poorest. The latter because I distrust the motives of those who led the VoteLeave campaign and are subsequently in power and cannot see any real benefits to the U.K. I do regret using such strong terms previously but on most occasions I always qualified things by saying not everyone etc. You are at the risk of being no better than you think I am with your recent posts.

If I didn’t want to tolerate, read or debate with those that had a different POV I wouldn’t post on here. If I wanted to do that I could go on Twitter or Parler and stay in a bubble of confirmation bias.

I would be more than happy to draw a line under our squabbles and move on. I doubt I will change my mind on things but there are better ways we can engage and apologies for my part in things.
