Although the majority of Albion fans deride him, I enjoyed and appreciated what he tried to achieve with the style of play and we played superbly going forward in the games against Cardiff and Spurs. It was disgraceful how the players threw away leads (2-0 v Cardiff, 3-0 v Spurs) in those games.

Despite seeing how we performed in those games and at other times, some of the players decided his style of play wasn't for them and shamefully downed tools.

Consequently, I hope he does very well at Malaga and wish him all the best.

Nonsense. The style of play was going to get us relegated, the players knew that. I notice you didn't bring up the 4-3 Villa game. It was all down to Mel's tactics why we were so bad defensively. Imagine trying to play a high line with Olsson and Lugano at the back. Downing and the senior players helped keep us up. To blame them is out of order really.

Is right.

No thought of the opposition whatsoever, no thought of how our players could do what he wanted (They couldn't.)

He got Dorrans back to being more useful for us, that's it.
