Given our transfer record that season we'd probably have spent it on some other shite.

True that

Oli Burke, Ken Zohore, Grady Diangana, Daryl Dike, Karloan Grant... someone said "don't blame the club". Actually, "don't blame the accountant" seems more apt...

PNE turnover £12m
PNE wage bill £24m

Just crazy. Mind you, I wish our wage bill was £24m.

Good article on PNE here, which also sums up the Champ very well. Shame it quotes Ridsdale. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/fo...y-27079893

TP would have gone for Ryan Shawcross and Dean Whitehead.

That fucking summer where we 'won the summer window' according to the media.

If we hadn't signed Barry, the Pole, Oli Fucking Burke, we'd have been in a better position financially, After relegation we'd have been in such a better position and a lot fo this could have been staved off.

Jenkins did point out that when he left there was money in the bank. When he came back, it had all gone. Not hard to see what happened.

PNE are generally a well-run club who are open with fans about where they are at and where they hope to be and are the fans happy - nope. They howl like hit dogs because the owners are saying something other than spend, spend spend.

And yet they are effectively being bankrolled to the tune of a million quid a month by their owners.

I do quite like PNE - a Club with great tradition, by far the most significant Club that has never played in the Prem.
