You look after your family first and foremost and if thats keeping more money for yourself and your family thats what you do........can Imagine you saying to your mrs ......I've picked up a grand this week and I've found out a way I can keep most of it without breaking the law this means we can have a better way of living take the kids on holiday a couple of times a year ....OR I pay all the tax so fat Betty who is sitting on her arse watching this morning can get a few more benefits while I go go work in the freezing cold .......I will leave it up to you to decide bab x

Arf that has made me chuckle far more than it should have.

You might want top rethink that approach when you take one of your kids into hospital and find there aren't enough nurses. You might be surprised to find out that you could have earned nearly £7,300 so far this tax year without paying any tax, and only when you pass that amount (£12,500 for the year) will you have to start dropping fivers through Betty's door.

I suspect that not many of us that post on here will be troubled by the £80k tax threshold - hardly taxing to the max.

Is that the 2017 figures or is this for the forthcoming election?

No doubt there are plenty of Betty's that exist. Just like there's a load of fat bankers having 8 hr lunches doing fk all other than counting their cash.

No doubt any grandkids your children sire will be most grateful you've taken that view and that christ there's plenty hard working folk out there happy to pay in to a system that supports the needy, health when you need it and the further and future education of our youth. I name you Boris.

It's their current manifesto on their website. My vote won't count for much, tories have over 20k majority in my constituency.

That is just income tax and will bring in nothing like what will be needed, the stuff that will hit
Us all is in hiding currently and to pretend otherwise is just daft

Where is it hiding? Labour have said they will increase income tax for those over £80k and increase Corp Tax. They've also pledged no increase in VAT or NI. For the general population that will be most of it, where will they hide stuff?
