Not bad for Lee Marvin & Clint Eastwood who couldn't sing.

We're on our way............
Some might say that they couldn`t act either.

I thought Clint Eastwood was good in his pomp. Haven't seen too much Lee Marvin.

To be fair, thought Eastwood was good in a way, he wasn`t a great actor, but always looked okay in films that suited his look / style. I have a DVD of Where Eagles Dare, in the bonus scenes bit, Richard Burton said Eastwood reminded him of Gary Cooper. Always thought the first Dirty Harry films were okay.

Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, Outlaw Josey Wales, Eiger Sanction, Escape from Alcatraz, High Plains Drifter, the Gauntlet.
All very enjoyable films which I can watch over again.

Some of his later films where he plays an old man aren't bad either. The Mule and Gran Torino (10 years ago can you believe it? Sad )

I've never heard the strolling one, or the we've got the ball/lost the ball.... or Elton John (maybe they're away songs?)

Ones about players names don't really count as everyone does them too, it just depends who you've got playing or had playing for you.

Go West ... I'll give you that one.

Agree. Blues first sang it about 20 years ago.
Wandering Star was ours though, back in the day. I remember hearing it when we played Everton away in the cup, the first sunday game for us during Don Howe's years.

Could be that they still sing it down that end, it's just they're so quiet we can't hear them anymore!
