Nice post CIM - Try and end more on a positive note. We have more then matched a full strength WHU team today.  Big Grin

They're pressing us much more now and seeing more of the ball.

To say his performance has tailed off is an understatement. He has been poor since before Christmas and has been a liability, especially with his passing, for the last 5 or 6 games.
Even with that poor clearance attempt on Monday Hegazi is head and shoulders in front of him.

I think it's rubbish to say Hegazi is "head and shoulders" above Ajayi. As a matter of fact, our defence became a problem from the moment Hegazi became a permanent feature in it.

He's a solid enough player at this level but he's nothing special. Loses his man far too easily. I agree Ajayi's form has tailed off a little but the same goes for all our CBs.

When has Hegazi been a permanent fixture in the defence? He's only started 4 league matches all season and in the cup against Charlton (which he was excellent in). I think he's our best centre back, but Ajayi and Bartley have been very good this season too. Ajayi has had a strong game today as well, bar one or two bad passes.

One to add to that thread of players that we missed out on - Antonio. The lad thought he was coming and tweeted as much. We signed someone else instead and he went to the Hammers.
Have a feeling the one we signed was a dud but can't remember who it was.
