Having a good night with the Albion Foundation.  Talking about the battle of brammel lane and promotion at QPR. Great escape after the break.

Yes, is was good night with some funny stories. AJ getting arrested for sneaking into QPR when we won the championship title because he’d given his tickets away to two Albion fans. AJ leaving a log on top of the bathroom door, which fell on Geoff Horsefield. AJ putting 50 odd dead mice in Greenings car Because they’d filled his car, bags and his pockets with cotton wool, which he hates. They said Robson was the best man manager. Warnock had told santos he was being let go at the end of the season, but he was put on the bench to have some time on the pitch with AJ. Santos also attacked him later. All fun and games!!

Presumably they liked Robson because they could get pissed.

Genuinely awful manager.

So they say... but players like him. And he got the Great Escape.
Re Robson I suppose there's a generation divide. My memories of him are as a great player, so I don't like dissing him.
Not his fault that Albion's ambition didn't match Man U's.

Robson was a good manager.

Awful tactician and coach though.

His attempt to copy the 4-2-3-1 used by Mourinho by using Campbell as the lone striker was, well, interesting. Before that we never really looked like getting relegated.

They're part of the manager role he was given. Hence he is actually a thoroughly shit manager.
