I think for some people it’s a case of rushing to make a judgment about someone and then being unable or unwilling to climb down when proved wrong, same thing happened with Bartley, Dowling and others.

Some of the abuse I heard him receive, particularly at away games last season was incredible. From some it just stems from a fundamental lack of understanding of the game, from others just a case of following the crowd.

Thankfully it seems to have calmed down this season and it’s been great to hear his name being chanted too. He’s a very good ‘keeper at this level and time will tell if he’ll make it in the Premier League.
Because he's now starting to do what the crowd criticized him for not doing

Which was?

He's as good as anything in this division and proving it. Out of a few others quoted earlier this season.....
Randolph: decent but Dracula when it comes to crosses
Bettinelli: cost them a win against us by being pathetically weak
Bailkowski: flapped on our goal and the Hull free kick was just embarrassing

Happy to hear those knocking him name the better championship keepers.
