Back to the point under discussion:
For me Guardiola hasn't improved the English players that Man City spent a fortune to buy. Yes they were amongst the best in their respective positions.
How hard is it to identify players that will give you the best available in England and chuck wads of money at their clubs?
As for the argument about managing rock stars:
If I were a bit part player at Man City would I resent a few winners medals on my CV?
The premier league is boring. At one end money wins it. At the other each week it's an exercise in not to lose.
In the middle there's not much to play for.
This sounds like the Emperors new clothes
How long before the rest of the world wakes up to that fact?
And what will happen then?
