Is there any excuse not to make the top two?

Put aside sentiment I cannot see any excuse for us missing out. I still hold out hope we do but our defensive frailties brought about by questionable tactics of over playing at the back is holding the team back.

It was prior to the transfer window, amazing how anyone who disagreed with this couldn't name which squads were better.

It certainly is true now. No excuses

To answer the question in your thread title, NO.

No excuse at all. Whilst i'd be more than happy with the excitement/drama of promotion via the play-offs failure to go up this season would be under achieving given the level of first 11/squad.

Bond

Mears Bartley Adarabioyo Brunt

Johansen Livermore Morrison

Montero Murphy Phillips

Is a team of players that weren't in the starting 11 today.

Absolute bollocks that our squad isn't good enough
