I’ll PM you on the way as you’ll need adult chat - it’d be a delight to meet an educated 6ft 1 man for both of us?

Sounds good mate

Pizza Pilgrims - There's one in Soho.

Not a Londoner but spend too much time there.

Cheers Borin. Your first suggestion sounds spot on for the itinerary.

Soho!!??? FFS!!! Soho ???? Baker Street?

Come out the station (or stay in it).  Have a look around.  FFS! It's not Pluto.

I'll take them for a Costa and then after the game a pizza. Anyone recommend any good pizza places near Marylebone?

Really looking forward to my first away day in the capital since we drew with Chelsea when Zico Anderson scored. Yes, it's that long ago.

That the 89/90 season when Chelsea and Albion were top going into the new year? Chelsea equalised with a late Graham Robert's pen. All went south for Albion after the Cup tie vs Everton when Anderson (Hawthorns) and Goodman (Goodison) got injured.
Enjoy your day. Likewise looking forward to my first away trip of the season. London away days always good, whatever the result.

Last time I went to what was then a shit-ole we drew 2-2 with Bomber scoring in injury time on 2 Jan 1978.

I really don't know how we came to be in the Shed,  but after celebrating our first goal we were escorted round the ground to the away end.   Big Grin

Don’t go to any restaurant just because it’s on your way.

Get the central line to St Paul’s and go to Gordon Ramsey’s Street Pizza Kitchen. £16 per person for bottomless pizza slices. They keep bringing out freshly cooked pizzas and offer you a slice. They bring round 5 different pizzas

Book a table. I promise you that you will thank me. Why get bored eating the same pizza somewhere else for the same price?

Below are the pizzas. The corn and chorizo is fucking boss. So much so I make that one at home.

CLASSIC MARGHERITA
MOZZARELLA, TOMATO, BASIL

PEPPERONI
SPICY SALAMI WITH MOZZARELLA, TOMATO, CHILLI FLAKES

CHARRED AUBERGINE
CHARRED AUBERGINE, TOASTED PINE NUTS, GARLIC PESTO, TOMATO (NO CHEESE)

CORN & CHORIZO
SWEETCORN PURÉE, CHORIZO, PULLED CHICKEN, MOZZARELLA, SPRING ONIONS, CORIANDER

DAILY SPECIAL
ASK YOUR SERVER FOR MORE INFO
I told you I’ll be back

Costa?

Go to the Marylebone Hotel.

Two very good pizza places these. L’antica features on the best pizza in the world list (excluding Italy)

Talking of pizza has anyone been to Pizza Union? They’ve got a few across town but I usually go to the Kings X one. It’s fantastic.

Been in the KX one a few times.  Not bad and great value. I usually have two at once.

So, was the pizza the highlight of your day or as much a disappointment as the Albion?
