Remainer pre Brexit 'facts' come true.

Oh!
What we were told
“ After Brexit, higher trade costs with the EU would be likely to depress FDI.”

“Overall, Brexit is likely to have a negative impact on inward FDI. Our new empirical analysis implies that leaving the EU will reduce FDI inflows to the UK by around 22%.”

“Such losses of investment will damage UK productivity and could lower real incomes by 3.4%.”  (L.S.E.)

What has actually happened.

“British technology companies are on course to raise record funding this year, with the UK extending its lead over competing European hubs, research suggests.
Investors poured £13.5 billion into more than 1,400 private technology firms between January and June, more than the total investment for last year, according to a report by Tech Nation, the lobby group, and Dealroom, a data provider.”

“According to the data, more than 1,400 UK tech companies have benefited from the £13.5 billion raised and the investment is more than double that achieved in the next biggest market – Germany, which managed to raise £6.2 billion.”

Britain is third, behind only The U.S.A. And China for ‘Start Up’ funding.
On course to be the “biggest year for Tech investment ever”.

All of which could have happened whilst we were in the EU so as you were. We are worse off from leaving, it means nothing what any politician said either way, there are no benefits to leaving apart from ideological ones.

You really are showing how thick you are - there are jobs out there that are available but no-one is taking them because it simply isn't worth it to them because of the state support they are given, there is a limit to any wage increase because it will put up prices and people won't buy the product / service, that will then lead to businesses closing and then no job to go to no matter how well paid it was.

You can only apply your logic to necessities and not 'luxuries'. Welcome to post-Brexit Britain. There is a clue in the fact that the dingbats in charge have issued visas to get people in, it really is coming home. One Tory MP from Norfolk highlighted it himself when, going against the party bullshit line, he said how a company in his constituency had had to waste £180k worth of goods because no-one was there to pick them.

We live in society where i am forced to pay for services i do not want or need with the threat of state violence if i don't pay, yet you're being conned into thinking we live in a free market democracy.

What services are you being forced to pay for? You are taxed by the government that you voted for and they spend the money on items that they choose to. They spend it on the education you will have received (albeit a poor one by the looks of it), your kids education (if you have them), the roads that you drive on, the security that you need, and any health needs that you have (if you have a heart attack and are unable to communicate where do you think they will take you?). They will also provide you with a small amount in your retirement to be going on with and will take away your rubbish for you each week saving you a trip to the tip on a saturday freeing you up to spend your time moaning at the football on offer.

You are pushing the boundaries of stupidity if you consider this country a socialist state forcing you to by decree to hand over your taxes.

the fact you chose to litter your response with so many personal insults because i hold a differing point of view to you says far more about your own intelligence and ability to argue a point than anything you have said about my alleged lack of education etc.
You don't even have the ability to read what i wrote without misinterpreting it yet have the nerve to call others stupid.

Hits ignore button.....

Thank fuck for that  Tongue

2 weeks and he couldn't resist taking me off ignore - little didums must have felt he was missing out on something. See you in a couple of days matey  Big Grin

You are ignoring the point of my post, that we were assured the very opposite would happen from day one of leaving.

So, you agree there are socio-political benefits to leaving then?

As much as you love to use sweeping generalisations.

As regards you ‘pointless’ link, that’s very strange according to the latest figures there are 1,034,000 job vacancies in the U.K.

I get why some didn't agree with some of the EU politics JOK, much like I don't agree with some of the UK's political agendas, but I do realise that we were better off inside the EU and that is starting to show. The theoretical benefits that have been put forward don't stack up and will fall apart at the 1st testing of them - we need EU workers as is shown by your figure of 1M vacancies.
