Cricket and Rugby at The Hawthorns

The Hawthorns hosted Worcestershire in the past and there were those floodlit matches that featured some of our best players of the Wile, Regis, etc., era. 

Anyone go to these games? I didn't go but remember seeing the photos in the programmes at the time.

I don't know of the ground hosting rugby matches. Anyone know if I'm wrong?

When Moseley were leaving The Reddings a ground share was suggested at The Hawthorns. Glad it didn't happen. The pitch would have been fucked.

Never heard of Rugger being played but i seem to remember India playing Pakistan at cricket in the 80's.
