I really don't like her and think she is not of the calibre to be in Parliament, let alone Shadow Cabinet, but if this is in response to the very poor showing (mainly) in the various elections it seems from the outside a little unfair.

I thought Starmer said responsibility for the performance rests with him?

So, to stem the losses in 'heartlands' due to Labour moving to a remain position, he appoints Hilary Benn, a man who tried his best to impede the implementation of the referendum result.

And Starmer is supposed to be smart?

Also rumours abound regarding Jenny Chapman, Head of Strategy. Keir apparently values her.
